How to install Virtio disk on ISO install (KVM Only)
To get faster disk speed, virtio disk is recommended. You can't install the VirtIO driver on a existing VPS. Follow the below steps to install from ISO (KVM Only). And only for Windows, Linux should have the driver built-in already.
1. Login to your KVM web panel and select an ISO you want
2. Change the Disk Driver to VirtIO and Change the Boot Order to (1)CD-ROM-(2)Hard Disk. No need to mount the Disk Driver ISO now.
3. Start the OS installation and during the OS installation, you will be prompted to load additional drivers (on the Partitioning section)
4. Go back to web panel, click Driver tab, Mount the Disk Driver ISO on Fly. (From SolusVM)
5. Load the VirtIO Driver from Windows Installation page.
6. Once you loaded the Driver successfully, IMMEDIATELY unmount the Disk Driver ISO from FLY using "Revert to Original Media".
7. Click the "Refresh" button on the installer page Install the OS on the selected partition.
IMPORTANT: After it rebooted, it will give error of disk virtio driver being unsigned, so press any key, then press F8 key, and select Disable Driver Signature Enforcement
This still NOT working -> when you're up, see http://serverfault.com/questions/313241/how-do-i-disable-driver-signing-enforcement-on-windows-server-2008-r2-x64 on how to permanently disable it
